Bridges case 2

Mrs. is missing 2 lower incisors. The orthodontist has neatly aligned all the teeth. Because two teeth were missing, this space was kept open by the orthodontist. Because of the limited space and low bone quality, an implant is not the first choice at this site. Also because Mrs. is not yet fully grown, implants are not recommended.

We opted for so-called partial adhesive bridges. The special feature of this device is that it has just been invented. We did research in a laboratory and showed that these bridges are as strong as other bridges but we don’t have to grind anything off the teeth for this. This is very beneficial because less tooth loss often means you can keep your own teeth for a long time. The bridges in this case are only attached to the contact surfaces of the canines. This allows the teeth to be kept clean.
